10th International Conference • Overview

Travel InformationBy AirPhiladelphia International Airport (PHL) provides flights from many major U.S. and international airports. Taxi service from the airport to the downtown hotels costs ~$30-35. The regional rail system, SEPTA, runs trains from the airport to the downtown area for ~$5-7 per ride (take the R1/Airport Line train to 30th Street Station for the Sheraton, to Suburban Station for Club Quarters). By TrainAmtrak offers regular train service to Philadelphia's 30th Street Station from much of the Northeast U.S., particularly along the Washington-New York-Boston corridor. 30th Street Station is within walking distance of Drexel University and the two hotels. Taxis can also be found just outside the station. By CarPhiladelphia is easily reachable by car, but traffic and parking can be a challenge to navigate -- we encourage attendees to avoid driving if possible. Because the city is generally very walkable, visitors can park their vehicles at the hotel and leave them parked for the duration of their stay. The Sheraton has a parking garage for use for an additional fee; Club Quarters has nearby garages as described here. Parking lots close to the conference venue (albeit expensive) are indicated on the conference interactive map. |
