Schedule

Each day there will be a theory lecture on each modeling paradigm; we advise  students to attend two lectures. During the rest of the day you can work on the assignments of your chosen paradigm. Except Tuesday, each day ends with a research talk, during which refreshments will be served.

On Friday, we will have a keynote lecture by Chris Eliasmith, the Director of the Centre for Theoretical Neuroscience at the University of Waterloo in Canada. Chris is the primary developer of the Nengo architecture, he wrote the book ‘How to Build a Brain’, and he developed “Spaun”, the word’s largest functional brain simulation. He will explain to us how we should build a brain – for a sneak preview you can have a look at his TEDX talk.

The keynote lecture is open to the public and will be given in the Van Swinderen Huys.

For the spring school participants, the lecture is followed by the Spring School Dinner (included in the registration fee).
